This area of Central Northern Anatoliais noted to often show an elaborate prayer rug design, with a monochrome bright accent juxtaposed by a more deeper red detailing. This design features two floral medallions woven into the field below occasionally depicted with architectural elements of a mosque. Surrounding regions incorporate more of a slender octagonal medallion in the middle of the field, with three geometrical forms crowned with a floral motif. Also typical is a large scale ornamental main border paired with a smaller scaled filigree like pattern of vines and flowers.
